The Lindenhurst UFSD is looking for a short-term AIS Reading Specialist leave replacement for the Fall of 2025.Position: Reading Specialist (Leave Replacement): Responsibilities:Provide targeted reading instruction to students in small groups.Deliver reading intervention using research-based and systematic programs.Utilize various instructional strategies to improve student reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, oral language, phonics, and phonemic awareness, based on data.Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans to meet diverse student needs.Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to create comprehensive learning plans.Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families and administration.All candidates must possess the appropriate NYS Teaching Certification for Literacy. In addition, experience providing reading interventions to elementary students is preferred.
