The Lindenhurst UFSD is seeking dynamic reading specialists for the 2025-2026 school year. All applicants must posses the appropriate NYS Teaching Certification in Literacy. Responsibilities:Work with students who have been identified as needing academic intervention services in reading.Implement a variety of science of reading interventions and associated resources such as Wilson, Orton Gillingham, Fundations, UFLI, Heggerty, and Seeing Stars.Utilize a variety of data points to determine AIS entry and exit such as I-ready, benchmark assessments, running records, formative assessments, and student work samples.Gauge student growth using aforementioned multiple data points.Collaborate with colleagues about academic interventions, data, and research based practices.Promote a safe and engaging learning environment for students.Maintain regular and open communication with supervisors, colleagues, parents and/or guardians.Please submit resume, letter of interest, transcripts and application on OLAS to: Dr. Kimberly Nunez-Boccanfuso, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Lindenhurst Union Free School District 350 Daniel Street Lindenhurst, NY 11757
