The Lindenhurst UFSD is seeking to hire a full-time probationary-track social worker for the 2024-2025 school year.Must have appropriate NYS Certification. General Responsibilities:Provide mandated and non-mandated school-based counseling sessions based on student needs and IEP mandates.Provide necessary documentation to the Committee on Special Education (CSE) and 504 Committee and participate in meetings, as appropriate.Utilize data and progress monitoring to track student goals within Frontline - IEP Direct.Record and submit electronic attendance and session notes.Ongoing communication with school staff, outside agencies and guardians to ensure the appropriate development of each student.Participation in building-level team meetings regarding student functioning.Serve as a liaison between home, school and agencies, providing referrals and follow-up on welfare cases, child protective services, and juvenile court, as appropriate.Job-specific cover letters should be addressed to the Director of Special Education and PPS, Ms. Irene DeNisco.
