The Lindenhurst UFSD is seeking highly qualified special education teachers on both the elementary and secondary levels who possess the appropriate NYS Certification(s). Candidates should possess an in-depth knowledge of Specially Designed Instruction (SDI), IEP writing, data collection, and goal development to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners. Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.Responsibilities Include:Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal and state regulationsDeliver differentiated instruction aligned with students' IEP goals and general education curriculumCollaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and familiesMaintain accurate student records, including progress monitoring and reportingParticipate in CSE meetings, professional development, and building/district initiativesUtilize evidence-based practices to support academic and behavioral successFoster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, engagement, and independencePlease address job-specific cover letters to Ms. Lauren DiBernardo, Coordinator of Elementary Special Education and/or Ms. Lauren Whitenack, Coordinator of Secondary Special Education.
