Little Falls CSD is actively seeking a Payroll Clerk to oversee the compilation and processing of payroll and the maintenance of employee records. This role operates under general supervision and requires high accuracy in handling financial data and official documentation.Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing: Compute changes regarding hours worked, overtime, tax changes and deductions.Data Entry: Update journal and ledger accounts and maintain a computerized employee history database.Reporting: Prepare periodic reports for unemployment insurance, retirement benefits, and State/Federal Tax withholdings.Record Maintenance: Manage employee time/leave files, status changes and deduction authorizations.Support: Answer employee inquiries regarding payroll and personnel matters.Minimum Qualifications- Candidates must meet one of following criteria:Option A: An Associates Degree from an accredited college, including or supplemented by six (6) semester credit hours in accounting.Option B: High School Diploma (or GED) AND two (2) years experience in preparing payroll and related records for a business or government agency, including micro-computer operation.Required Skills: Working knowledge of modern payroll methods and office procedures. Ability to make arithmetic computations rapidly and accurately. Proficiency in operating computer keyboards and standard office equipment.
