QUALIFICATIONS:Candidates must be on an eligible list in accordance with the requirements of the Nassau County Department of Civil Service or meet minimum qualifications.Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university.Two (2) years of satisfactory experience supervising school custodial and/or maintenance personnel.In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, candidates must have satisfactory general custodial and/or maintenance experience which may be substituted for college education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of four (4) years. There is no substitution for the two (2) years supervising school custodial and/or maintenance personnel.Strong oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManage and supervise day-to-day custodial and maintenance operations for the District.Performs related duties as required.START:April 1, 2025SCHEDULE:Twelve (12) month positionMonday through Friday, 7:00AM – 4:00PM (with at least 1 day per week working a later shift, 12:00PM – 9:00PM)SALARY:Commensurate with experience.
