Position: Probationary Special Education Teacher (7:50 A.M. – 2:50 P.M.) Locations: Long Beach High School Qualifications: Math ICT/HS self- contained class Responsibilities: Expertise in differentiating math and science instruction. Experience using instructional technology and graphing calculators (e.g., TI-84 Plus) and science and laboratory equipment. Ability to use formative and summative assessment data to modify instruction and report progress on IEP mandates. Experience in implementing needed accommodations and modification to support students with special needs, including laboratory-specific safety accommodations. Candidate should also have a repertoire of behavioral strategies and be able to provide a high level of structure and support for the students.
