The Lansingburgh Central School District is accepting applications for a District Treasurer. This is a full-time, 12-month position with a minimum starting salary of at least $75,000 with excellent benefits.REPORTS TO: School Business Administrator (SBA)QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field OR equivalent experience in a school district or municipal setting. Strong organization, analytical and financial management skills are preferred.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The District Treasurer is responsible for assisting in all fiscal operations of the district to include but not be limited to Budgeting, Accounting, Financial Reporting, Revenue, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Grants. Typical duties include but shall not be limited to the following:Prepares monthly reports for the Board of Education;Prepares and enters approved budget transfers as needed;Works with SBA as point of contact for auditors during annual financial audits and gathers all requested information;Assists SBA in preparation of final cost reports for Capital projects;Monitors reoccurring deposits such as cafeteria, taxes, rents, commissions, health insurance, Medicaid and Medicare Part D to insure all deposits are made;Records NYS Office of State Comptroller payments and issues receipts to maintain appropriate logs;Records and reviews ERS/TRS payments and ensures proper recording of payroll and payroll taxes;Prepares and records wire transfers to pay loan payments;Monitors Federal grants;Other duties as assigned.Do not miss out on this chance to join the Lansingburgh family and become a Knight! #itsagreatdaytobeaknight
