Under general supervision, this employee directs programs for live and videotaped cable TV production for our district. An incumbent of this position is responsible for the technical operation of complex video and audio equipment and videotaping of programs and events for broadcast on local school district access cable television station. Good knowledge of principles and practices used in video production and the operation of complex video equipment and of FCC laws and regulations pertaining to video production and broadcast is required. This employee also is responsible for transporting video and audio equipment to various school buildings and sites for the purpose of videotaping. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff and guests. Minimum acceptable training and experience: Graduation from high school or possession of high school equivalency diploma and four (4) years of work experience in video production and editing. Substitution: An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Media Arts, Cinematography Communications, Broadcasting, Videography or related field may substitute for up to three (3) years of work experience in video production and editing. M-F/Hours: Varied (days and evenings will be required) Salary: $55,999 - $90,573. This is a non-competitive civil service title. Employees new to the district will be hired at the lower salary.
