Position Title: ASSISTANT PRINCIPALLocation: HIGH SCHOOL LEVELSalary: AS PER ASPA CONTRACTREQUIRED PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS:Masters Degree with training in the areas of school leadership, supervision, curriculum and educational philosophy.Possess or qualify for New York State School Administrator and Supervisor or School District Administrator certification.DESIRED PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCES:Teaching experience at the secondary school level.Promoting a supportive school climate and knowledge with social-emotional competencies, restorative practices and culturally responsive education.A knowledge of high school level curriculum design and practices, which should be supported by example of direct involvement and leadership in such activities.A demonstrated knowledge of research-based systems of teacher supervision and evaluation.A demonstrated ability to provide leadership and to assist in supervising the overall operation of the school.Experience as an assistant principal or appropriate administrative background.
