John Jay High School is seeking English and/or Social Studies certified Permanent building substitute teachers for the 2025-2026 school year to provide daily support to students when teachers are absent. Hours: 10 months – up to 4 days per week Anticipated Start Date: November 3, 2025 Salary & Benefits: $317.42/day Qualifications: NYS English and/or Social Studies 7-12 Certification Responsibilities: Will serve as a resource to students, answer questions, monitor student work production, liaison with classroom teacher, and perform other duties assigned by building administration.Teacher will also be responsible for identifying and developing resources for students’ use to assist their learning during the coverage period.
