Location: John Jay High School Hours: Part-time, 10-month Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2025 Qualifications: Possess NYS Certification for Visual Arts (All Grades) Salary: 0.2 of $62,699 - $141,489 as per the KLDTA contract A successful candidate should: Demonstrate enthusiasm for building relationships with students as much as the subject.Have experience with, or understanding of, project-based learning and strategies to engage with students of all ability levels.Maintain a commitment to implementing varied instructional and assessment strategies.Demonstrate an understanding of the New York State Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education Framework.Be reflective about teaching practices.Actively participates in a professional learning community (PLC), engaging in ongoing, collaborative professional learning to refine and enhance instructional practice.Works with colleagues to analyze student data, share best practices, and implement research-based strategies that improve student outcomes.
