Hours: Full-time (10 month)Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2024Salary: $62,699 - $141,489 as per the KLDTA contract Qualifications & Responsibilities : NYS Certification as a Special Education Teacher required.Grades K-6 experience.Skilled in developing IEPs.Experience in a reading intervention program such as Spire, Wilson or Orton-Gillingham.Prepare lesson plans that achieve clear objectives, implements specially designed instruction, and uses appropriate program modifications and accommodations.Skilled in data-driven progress monitoring with goals that are student-specific and informed by various data points.Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws.Fosters family and guardian engagement.Collaborates and communicates with colleagues, parents, and administration to best meet the needs of students.Develops clear, engaging, and relevant lesson plans that appropriately challenge students and reflect current pedagogy.Committed to student-centered and student-driven learning experiences with opportunities for student voice and choice.
