Location: John Jay Middle School/Operations & MaintenanceAnticipated Start Date: September 6, 2024Hours: Full-time (12-month); 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Salary and Benefits: Salary Range of $55,923 to $63,131 as per the KLSSA ContractDescription: Performs cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning cafeteria, delivering items to teachers and administrators, checks all windows and doors are secure, supports the head custodian and the building principal’s needs. Performs cleaning, maintenance, and minor repair tasks.Moves and arranges chairs, tables and other furniture and equipment.Cleans and mops lavatories and locker-rooms, empties waste baskets.Waxing floors, washes walls and windows, and dusting furniture.Building checks, ensuring windows and doors are closed and locked.Performs variety of errands and related custodial tasks.Minor repairs to furniture, windows, doors and shades.Clearing snows from walkways & door entrances.Setting up events for athletics and approved facility use organizations.Visual checks of the building envelop, checking for potential leaks, temperatures, water pressure, lighting, tripping hazards, safety concerns, and reporting them to their supervisor.
