Location: Elementary Schools Start Date: September 1, 2024Salary and Benefits: $62,699 - $164,738 as per the KLDTA contract Qualifications: NYS Music K-12 Certification Required Responsibilities and SkillsGeneral Music and Instrumental Teachers:Develops and actualizes a music program consistent with school district vision, goals, and objectives for students in Grades K-5.Utilizes repertoire of all types of music, as appropriate.Works collaboratively with members of the Music Department.Fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment that prioritizes the social and emotional well-being of students and nurtures a sense of belonging.Infuses culturally relevant practices and content into curriculum design, ensuring that lessons reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all students.Uses NYS standards as a foundation for setting clear learning goals and expectations for students, providing a roadmap for their academic progress.Instrumental Only:Promotes an instrumental classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, based on student's musical readiness levels.Develops balanced music program and lessons to organize class time so that students have adequate time for preparation, rehearsal, and instruction.Familiar with all band and/or string related instruments.
