Katonah-Lewisboro School District Announces the Following Vacancy for the 2022-2023 School YearDISTRICT-WIDE STAFF DEVELOPERFor Instructional TechnologyThe Katonah-Lewisboro School District is seeking a talented educator to serve as district-wide staff developer for the 2022-2023 school year.Responsibilities include:Collaborating with staff and outside consultants on the development, delivery, and assessment of professional learning opportunities and curricular resources.Coordinating with administrators and district committees in order to meet the needs of staff and students.Sharing current research about best practices in pedagogy and assessment.Working with colleagues to design student-centered units and lessons.Working in classrooms to demonstrate lessons, model the use of instructional technology, and to advance the goals of the district technology plan.Analyzing student work with teachers.Supporting the district in the analysis of device and software usage.Staying up to date on the district’s tools for technology integration.Characteristics of successful candidates will include the ability to:Champion a culture of reflective practice and innovation.Lead, empower, inspire, and collaborate with other adults.Work independently and with multiple teams.Be flexible and responsive to evolving needs.Successful candidates will have:Deep content knowledge (any area) and extensive teaching experience. Working knowledge of ISTE and NYSED Technology Standards preferred.A strong understanding of Problem-Based Learning, Universal Design for Learning principles, and authentic assessment practices.Background in and commitment to our district’s focus areas: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Social Emotional Learning, and Education for Sustainability.A strong work ethic and be a motivated and self-directed learner.A perspective that spans K-12 and multi-disciplines.Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills.A history of successful classroom teaching, expertise in instructional practice, and interest in innovation.Interest and/or experience in curriculum development and professional learning.Flexibility and availability for summer and after-school work.The Staff Developer will report directly to the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction. All tenure areas considered.
