Just Kids is a group of specialized preschools in Suffolk & Nassau County, Long Island, and in Far Rockaway, serving children with a wide range of disabilities from zero to five years of age. We work as an interdisciplinary team with occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologist, nursing, vision therapy, and special education teachers.Requirements:Must possess a Master's Degree (M.A. or M.S.) in Speech/Language Pathology or Communication Sciences from an accredited college or university.Must hold a valid Certification as a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped or equivalent from NYS Education Department (Division of Teacher Certification).License and current registration from the NYS Education Department (Division of Professional Licensing) to practice in the State of NY as a Speech Pathologist.General Duties:Perform individual and group speech - language therapy sessions as stated on each child's IEP. Become a member of a dynamic group of speech therapists who work collaboratively with teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists and social workers.
