This role supports student success by collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure access to the curriculum and meaningful participation in the educational environment. Key Responsibilities: Direct Student Services Provide speech and language therapy to students individually and in small groups based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Address a range of communication needs, including articulation, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic/social communication skills. Support students in accessing academic content through targeted intervention strategies. Assessment and Evaluation Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations using formal and informal assessment tools. Interpret assessment data and prepare written evaluation reports. Participate in eligibility determination meetings and provide recommendations for services. Reevaluate students as required by district, state, and federal guidelines. IEP Development and Implementation Develop measurable, standards-aligned IEP goals and objectives based on student needs. Collaborate with IEP team members to design appropriate supports and services. Implement IEPs and ensure services are delivered in accordance with legal requirements. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress. Progress Monitoring and Reporting Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress toward IEP goals. Adjust intervention strategies based on data and student response. Provide regular progress reports to families and IEP teams. Collaboration and Consultation Work closely with teachers, administrators, school psychologists, special educators, and related service providers. Provide strategies and resources to teachers to support language development in the classroom. Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and strategies for home support. Participate in team meetings, including IEP, and faculty meetings. Compliance and Documentation Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district regulations (e.g., IDEA). Keep accurate records of evaluations, services, and student progress. Ensure timelines for evaluations, IEPs, and reporting are met. Professional Responsibilities Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and education. Participate in professional development opportunities. Adhere to ethical standards and district policies. Support district initiatives related to equity, inclusion, and student achievement. Qualifications Valid state licensure and/or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Experience working in school settings preferred.
