(3) Three-hour monitors are responsible for supervising a specific class or location (e.g. cafeteria, playground, and indoor recess locations). Monitors are expected to learn the names of all students in their class and gain knowledge of each child's personality to help ensure that lunch and recess is a safe and enjoyable time for all. Monitors must be alert at all times to students' needs in order to assist, encourage, or correct behavior. The monitor must maintain a strong record of regular attendance. Monitors will receive training from their assigned school related to expectations, safety, and security.
