Position Summary Jericho UFSD seeks an innovative, strategic, and experienced Director of Technology to lead all aspects of technology, infrastructure, cybersecurity, instructional integration, and data management across the district. Key Responsibilities Lead instructional technology integration and district-wide technology initiativesOversee all IT infrastructure: networks, servers, telecommunications, Wi-Fi, and multimedia systemsSupervise Student Information System (PowerSchool), ensuring accurate state and federal reportingMaintain full compliance with NYS Ed Law 2-d, FERPA, and data privacy regulationsServe as the district’s Data Protection Officer and lead cybersecurity initiativesDevelop and manage the technology budget and E-Rate applicationsOversee procurement, vendor relationships, data-sharing agreements, and asset inventorySupervise technology staff, including IT support and instructional integration teamsChair the District Technology Committee to drive long-term planning and stakeholder engagementProvide technical support for district events and manage digital communications platforms (website, notifications)Coordinate all state reporting processes, including BEDS, APPR, and data audits Required QualificationsNew York State School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) certificationSignificant K–12 technology leadership experience, including oversight of PowerSchool or similar Student Information SystemsProven expertise in cybersecurity, Ed Law 2-d compliance, and data privacyStrong technical knowledge in network administration, student information systems, and Google Workspace for EducationExcellent communication, project management, and leadership skills
