Anticipated Vacancy Notice–Long Term Substitute RtI Instructional Coach–Secondary Level (Teacher on Special Assignment per the JCTA Contract)Contract Dates: August, 2022 - June 30, 2023Qualifications: Valid NYS teaching certificate or NYS certification for school psychologist, school counselor, or social worker with a minimum of 4 years’ experience Knowledge of and demonstrated expertise in research-based instructional practices that bring about both academic and behavioral student growth Job Responsibilities: Work with 6 -12 staff to effectively use data to identify students in need of additional academic or behavioral supports Model use of effective academic and behavioral intervention strategies in classrooms for both teachers and students Assess the needs of students and staff to create a tiered plan of support for student growth Facilitate RtI meetings at Johnson City Middle School and Johnson City High School Maintain complete and accurate student RtI records using a technology-based platform Develop and implement staff training as determined by needs assessments Maintain frequent communication with staff on RtI updates Oversee intervention implementation, data collection, and progress monitoring to support fidelity to the RtI system Utilize best practices for effectively coaching teachers to bring about an enhanced learning experience for students Create and maintain strong working relationships with secondary staff, administration, students, and students’ families Communicate clearly and effectively with families about the RtI process when they have questions or concerns Attend relevant conferences to remain current with best practices for RtIPlease apply on OLAS, and SEND LETTER OF INTEREST and Johnson City CSD APPLICATION (www.jcschools.com, departments, personnel, instructional position) to: Mr. Eric Race, Superintendent Johnson City Central School District 666 Reynolds Road Johnson City, NY 13790 DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: August 3, 2022
