Candidates should possess a strong ELA and math background, outstanding pedagogical skills, knowledge of the Next Generation Learning Standards, and be certified to teach K-6 in both general and special education settings. Candidates should have an instructional toolkit that will foster critical thinking, cross-curricular experiences, and opportunities for students to grow their skills, knowledge, and passion for learning.
