English Teacher - Leave Replacement (January 9, 2026-February 13, 2026)Island Trees Memorial Middle School, Nassau County, seeks a committed and talented English teacher to serve as a leave replacement in grades 7 and 8. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of the NYS ELA standards, an appreciation for the specific needs of adolescent learners, and an instructional toolkit that will foster critical thinking, cross-curricular experiences, and opportunities for students to grow their skills and knowledge through active experiences. Candidates must possess a valid NYS 7-12 English teaching license. If interested, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to serve as a daily substitute at Island Trees Memorial Middle School after the leave replacement position concludes.
