Bus DriverDuties:Safely operate a school bus, adhering to all traffic laws and regulationsConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and mechanical soundnessMaintain a clean and orderly bus environment for studentsCommunicate effectively with passengers, parents, and staff regarding schedules, routes, and any issues that may ariseManage student behavior on bus to ensure a safe and respectful environment during transitAssist children in boarding and disembarking the bus, providing support as neededExperience:Proven experience in bus driving is preferredPrevious experience working with children or in childcare settings is advantageousKnowledge of mechanical systems related to bus operation is beneficialSkills in behavior management will be valuable in maintaining order on the busQualifications: Must have NYS CDL, Class B or C with appropriate passenger endorsementMust pass a NYS DMV Physician’s ExamMust pass pre-employment US DOT drug screen & random drug screenings thereafter Must pass NYSED Dept.
