Position Overview: We are seeking an energetic, dedicated, and highly collaborative individual to serve as a Shared Assistant Principal in our school community. The Assistant Principal will work across both school buildings, sharing responsibilities and leadership duties in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for education, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to support both students and staff.Key Responsibilities:· Support the School Principal(s) in managing day-to-day operations and ensuring a safe, positive learning environment.· Provide leadership and support to teachers, staff, and students across schools and grade levels.· Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of district-wide programs and initiatives.· Support teachers and staff in the analysis and use of data to drive instruction in collaboration with the School Principal(s).· Evaluate teachers’ performance and provide feedback to ensure continued growth and alignment with school goals.· Support the integration of technology in teaching and learning.· Lead and assist in the coordination of student discipline, ensuring that interventions are consistent with district policy and best practices.· Foster effective communication and collaboration between school communities, parents, and local stakeholders.· Monitor student progress and work with teachers and staff to implement strategies that address academic, social, and behavioral needs.· Support professional development for staff, providing coaching in instructional practices, classroom management, and other relevant areas.· Assist in managing crisis situations, including emergency evacuation protocols and safety procedures.· Participate in school committees, including those focused on curriculum development, student services, and school culture.· Assist in maintaining and enforcing school policies, procedures, and state/federal education regulations.· Serve as the Principal in their absence, overseeing all school operations, decision-making, and leadership functions.Qualifications:· Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.· Valid NYS certification as a School Building Leader (SBL).· Minimum of six years of teaching experience.· Strong knowledge of literacy instructional best practices, curriculum design, and assessment strategies.· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.· Proficiency in utilizing educational technology tools for communication, data analysis, and school management.· Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire faculty and staff in an inclusive and collaborative environment.· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.· Knowledge of local, state and federal educational policies, laws, and regulations.Preferred:· Experience in a shared leadership role.· Knowledge of the science of reading/learningSalary is regionally competitive
