Elementary Education Teacher Leave Replacement(Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish)Beginning on August 28, 2024, for approximately 12 weeksOverview: We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Elementary Education Teacher for a leave replacement position. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish and be equipped to teach Spanish foreign language in the elementary school (FLES).Key Responsibilities:• Develop and implement age-appropriate Spanish language curriculum and instructional materials for elementary school students.• Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles.• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to participate and take risks in using the Spanish language.• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate Spanish language and culture into interdisciplinary units and school-wide events.• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in English and Spanish to elementary students.• Teach foreign language (FLES) programs, focusing on developing students' proficiency in Spanish.Qualifications:• NYS Certification ElEd 1-6 Required.• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish Required• Ability to integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning.• Prior experience teaching Spanish to elementary school students is highly desirable.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.• Commitment to fostering a culturally responsive and inclusive learning environment.EEO
