Long-Term Leave Replacement, Social Studies Teacher Irvington High School Approximate Dates: September 13, 2026 – December 2026 (12-week assignment) Teaching Assignment: Regents United States History and Government Regents Global History and Geography II One section of AP Research The ideal candidate will be passionate about engaging students in meaningful historical inquiry, fostering critical thinking, and creating a positive classroom environment. Experience teaching Regents-level Social Studies courses is preferred. Familiarity with AP Research, or a willingness to collaborate closely with department colleagues to support students in the course, is desirable. Qualifications: Valid New York State Social Studies certification required. Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills.
