The Dean of Students will serve as a trusted point of contact and partner for all students and families, helping to transition them to campus, fostering engagement, and supporting their path to success. The role would also encompass the responsibilities of the 6-12 DASA (Dignity for All Students Act) Coordinator, ensuring compliance and proactive strategies to address issues of harassment, bullying, and discrimination.The successful candidate will provide dedicated capacity to engage with students across middle and high school. Advocate for Students: Representing the needs of students to administrators, teachers, and parents. Guidance and Counseling: Providing guidance and support to students, collaborating with counselors, and addressing student concerns. Student Activities: Overseeing student clubs, organizations, and events, ensuring they are conducted safely and effectively. Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with teachers, counselors, and other administrators to ensure a positive and supportive school environment. Data Analysis: Maintaining, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify opportunities and develop strategies to advance academic achievement and student success. Policy Development: Contributing to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures. Student Supervision and Discipline: Monitoring student behavior in hallways, classrooms, and other school areas, addressing disciplinary issues, and implementing school policies. Attendance Management: Tracking student attendance, addressing absences, and working with students and families to improve attendance rates. School Building Leader (SBL) Certification required
