The successful candidate will be student-centered, of high character, and believes all students can achieve at high levels. The successful candidate will currently hold the required certification (see below), have experience working as a full-time teacher or a leave replacement in a high school or middle school, and meet the desired qualifications outlined below. Certification: New York State Department of Education Certification in Spanish and Italian Desired Qualifications:Must have knowledge of the New World Language Standards.Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the new World Language Standards.Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and best practices.Enthusiastic, innovative, and caring personality.Possess a growth mindset.Knowledge of Google Classroom and Infinite Campus.Uses a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and support a range of learners.Develops and uses varied assessments (exams, projects, written work, etc.) to measure student progress.
