ANTICPATED OPENING: SCHOOL YEAR 2023 -2024School PsychologistCommittee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) ChairpersonIslip School DistrictRequirements:• NYS Certified School Psychologist with 3+ years of experience• Familiar knowledge of NYS Part 200/201 regulations and IDEA Regulations• Experience with service coordinationResponsibilities:• Conducting CPSE meetings (Initial Eligibility, Requested Review, Annual Review, etc.• Conducting CPSE meetings for Out of District placements (Initial Eligibility, Requested Review, Annual Review, etc.) • Conducting Transition Meetings (Early Intervention-CPSE; CPSE-CSE)• Develop IEPs with data/information provided by Suffolk County evaluators and program providers• Conducting 504 Plan meetings for MS-HS Students• Utilize Computerized Management Systems (IEPDirect/ CPSE Portal)• Liaison between Suffolk County DOH and Islip School District• Coordinate and obtain services for students eligible for CPSE related services and Center Based Programs• Oversee the facilitation of CPSE registration, evaluation requests and meeting schedules• Maintain positive relationships between families, providers, and district personnel• Collaborate with the Coordinator of Special Education and the Assistant Superintendent for Student Support Services on an ongoing basisPreferred Experience and Qualifications:• Bilingual- Spanish• 3+ years of experience as a School PsychologistApplications will be accepted via OLAS only.
