School Counselor - Leave ReplacementIslip Middle School*NYS School Counselor Certification is requiredThe Islip School District is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and student-centered Long Term Substitute School Counselor. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Responsible for the social, emotional, and academic counseling and advisement of Islip students in grades 6-8.Familiar with middle level counseling strategies and programs, including growth mindset, 7 habits of Happy Kids and Career ExplorationWorks closely with administration on daily interactions as a first level of support for students requiring interventions and/or mediations.
