Job Title: Curriculum DirectorJob Category: AdministratorJob Location: District OfficeSalary: Regionally CompetitiveApplication Due Date: 10/24/22Anticipated Position Start Date: 1/3/23The Curriculum Director works as a member of the Superintendent’s Administrative staff, reporting to the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. The Curriculum Director is responsible for:Leadership and support in the planning, implementation, development, direction, budgeting, review and evaluation of the district’s PK-12 curriculum and instructional services. Direct oversight of the Universal PreK program, supervision of instructional coaches and related curricular areas.Develop and facilitate professional development that supports instructional and support staff while fostering an atmosphere of learning and growth Perform classroom observations and pre/post conferences to strengthen the instructional practices in partnership with administrators and/or supervisors. Overall support of building and district level curricular initiatives, district programs, and general operational needs. Evaluate the effectiveness of instructional methods and programs through the use of data and collaboration with the curriculum councils. Qualifications:Successful candidates must currently hold NYS certification in SDL, SAS or SBL.This is a Confidential position. You must not have union affiliation to work in this position.Must possess 5 to 10 years teaching experience as a NYS certified teacher and working knowledge of curriculum and NYS standards for grades PK-12. Previous administrative experience is preferred. Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectivenessExperience delivering Professional Development to large and small groups of educators Ability to interpret various data sets and facilitate data-informed change Ability to analyze accountability measures, evaluate instructional programs, and gauge student learning levelsStrong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
