Title: Teacher Assistant - ENLLocation: Initial Location - Evans Mills Primary SchoolAssignment: ENLDeadline: 8/22/22Start Date: 9/6/22Minimum Qualifications:NYS Teacher Assistant Certificate with a minimum of an Associate’s DegreeThe candidate shall be eligible for New York State certification as a Teaching Assistant, and shall have a successful background of college preparatory experience.Proven ability to interact effectively with students and their families who represent diverse cultures in order to build an effective and collaborative school community. Skills and Experience includes but not limited to:Working with individual pupils or groups of pupils on special instructional projects.Providing the teacher or administrator with information about pupils, which will assist the teacher or administrator in the development of appropriate learning experience.Utilizing their own special skills and abilities by assisting the instructional program.Have the ability to speak and write English and Spanish fluently. Supervising and facilitating prescribed assignments made by the teacher for the class, to enable the teacher to individually assess pupils.Providing academic intervention services Assisting in related instructional work as required.Assisting in student supervision.Other related duties as assigned by teacher or administrator.
