The Hyde Park Central School District is seeking multiple dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our student health team. These are full-time, 10-month positions aligned with the school calendar. Our LPNs may serve 1:1 assignment for students requiring individualized care, or two in general LPN roles to support our health offices. We celebrate diversity and foster a sense of belonging for all students, emphasizing the importance of contributing to the greater community. 1:1 Licensed Practical Nurses These LPNs will provide individualized nursing support for a student within the district. Qualifications & Experience Required: Valid NYS LPN license Experience providing 1:1 nursing services in a school or pediatric setting Demonstrated expertise in caring for children with Epilepsy Competency and experience in tube feeding administration and monitoring Ability to respond swiftly to medical emergencies and communicate effectively with school staff and the student’s family Discretion and professionalism in managing confidential health information Health Office Support LPNs These LPNs will work collaboratively with our Registered Nurses in the elementary school health offices to ensure the health and safety of all students. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to students throughout the school day Support and assist with routine health screenings Maintain accurate and confidential student health records, documenting all care, observations, and communications Serve as a liaison between families and community health resources Alert families to health concerns and connect them with appropriate interventions Support daily management of student health needs including medication administration, symptom monitoring, and ongoing parent communication Promote a safe, healthy school environment and ease parental anxiety through consistent, high-quality nursing care Qualifications (All Positions): Current New York State LPN License Current CPR and First Aid certification School nursing or pediatric experience preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism The Hyde Park Central School District is an equal opportunity employer.
