The Hyde Park Central School District is seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Part-time Elementary School Lunch Monitor at North Park Elementary School. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, orderly, and positive lunch experience for our students.Responsibilities:Supervise students during lunch periods in the cafeteria, promoting a positive and respectful environment.Enforce school rules and expectations regarding behavior, noise levels, and cleanliness.Assist students with opening food containers and other lunch-related needs as necessary.Monitor student allergies and ensure students are only consuming their own food.Address minor behavioral issues and refer more serious concerns to appropriate school staff (e.g., teachers, administration).Facilitate a smooth flow of students in and out of the cafeteria.Ensure students dispose of trash properly and maintain a clean eating area.Collaborate with cafeteria staff and teachers to support overall student well-being.Respond to student inquiries and provide assistance as needed.Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred.Ability to maintain a calm and patient demeanor in a busy environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to enforce rules consistently and fairly.Reliable and punctual.Successful completion of background check and fingerprinting.
