Job Title: Mathematics Teacher Location: Woodmere Middle School School (1.0 full time, full year, leave replacement) Duration: The 2026-2027 school year (Full year/Full time leave replacement) Start Date: On or about August 2026 End Date: June 30, 2027 Position Overview: The Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools is seeking a qualified and dedicated Mathematics teacher for a full-time, full-year, leave replacement position. This role requires NYS certification in Mathematics (7-12). The successful candidate will serve students at Woodmere Middle School. This is a unique opportunity for an educator committed to inclusive education, academic excellence, and supporting students with diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities: At Woodmere Middle School (1.0 Full year/full-time leave replacement): Provide instruction in a Mathematics classroom. Collaborate with special education teachers to plan and deliver differentiated instruction. Implement IEP goals aligned with NYS learning standards. Support students in accessing the curriculum through accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies. Monitor and document student progress; participate in CSE meetings as needed. Qualifications: Required Certifications: New York Certification in Mathematics (7-12) Preferred Experience: Teaching experience in Mathematics Knowledge of NYS/Next Gen Standards Strong collaboration and communication skills ____________________________________________________ Work Schedule & Compensation This is a 1.0 Full time/Full year leave replacement position.
