Hewlett-High School is seeking a dually certified Special Education Teacher (Math) who is a dedicated and collaborative educator to serve as a full-time leave replacement for the upcoming school year (26-27). The successful candidate will provide specialized instruction and support to secondary students in both Mathematics and Special Education settings. Qualifications Candidates must possess: Valid certification in Mathematics (Secondary Level) Valid certification in Special Education (Secondary Level) Responsibilities Deliver instruction in secondary-level mathematics courses Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records Participate in CSE Meetings Case manager for students with disabilities Participate in team meetings and school-based professional responsibilities Preferred Qualities Strong classroom management and organizational skills Strong mathematics background Commitment to inclusive and student-centered practices Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Experience supporting students with varied academic and social-emotional needs
