Job Title: Special Education Teacher (0.4) Location: Ogden ElementaryDuration: School yearStart Date: 9.15.2025 End Date: 06.26.25Position Overview:The Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools is seeking a qualified and dedicated Special Education Teacher for yearlong position. This role requires Students with Disabilities (grade 1-6). The successful candidate will serve students at Ogden Elemntary School (0.4 FTE) for a resource room position.This is a unique opportunity for an educator committed to inclusive education, academic excellence, and supporting students with diverse learning needs.Key Responsibilities:At Ogden Elementary School - Resource Room (0.4 FTE):Provide small-group instruction and academic support in a resource room setting.Reinforce executive functioning skills, study skills, and organization.Serve as a liaison between the non-public school, the district, and families to support IEP implementation.Monitor and document student progress; participate in CSE meetings as needed.Qualifications:Required Certifications:New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities 1-6Preferred Experience:Experience teaching students with IEPs in both inclusion and resource room settingsKnowledge of NYS Next Generation StandardsFamiliarity with IEP development, implementation, and complianceStrong collaboration and communication skillsWork Schedule & Compensation:This is a 0.4 FTE position.Compensation in accordance with district substitute/leave replacement teacher pay scale.Application Process:Interested candidates should submit the following:Cover LetterResumeCopy of NYS Certifications
