Job Title: ELA Teacher Location: Woodmere Middle SchoolSchool (.6 FTE) Duration: Remainder of the 2025-2026 school year Start Date: ASAP End Date: 6/26/2025Position Overview:The Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools is seeking a qualified and dedicated English Language Arts teacher for a replacement position. This role requires certification in English Language Arts (Grades 7–12). The successful candidate will serve students at Woodmere Middle School.This is a unique opportunity for an educator committed to inclusive education, academic excellence, and supporting students with diverse learning needs.Key Responsibilities:At Woodmere Middle School (0.6 FTE):Provide instruction in English Language Arts and/or co-taught ELA classrooms.Collaborate with special education teachers to plan and deliver differentiated instruction.Implement IEP goals aligned with NYS learning standards.Support students in accessing the curriculum through accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies.Monitor and document student progress; participate in CSE meetings as needed.
