The Hoosick Falls Central School District is seeking a physics teacher that will get all students excited about science. This position is for full time (tenure track) position for the start of the 2025-26 school year. The selected teacher will teach at least two sections of physics with a lab. The successful candidate will also have the option to work with the administration to create a science elective or two that the teacher is interested in offering. There is a lot of flexibility with filling the remainder of their schedule and the creativity of the candidate will help drive this process. Candidates will be considered based on their knowledge to do the following:Be proficient in the use of instructional technologyDevelop and implement Next Gen Science StandardsRelate real-world scenarios to concepts being presentedHave experience with project-based learningUse data to drive instructionCultivate a classroom that is student-centeredThink outside the boxDevelop scientific literacy and encourage scientific thinkingUse classroom assessments to support student learning Hoosick Falls will only accept completed applications which must also include the following materials which should be uploaded to your application: a cover letter, resume, 3 letters of reference, and certification(s).
