Leave Replacement (Short-Term) Social Worker - Herricks High School - Anticipated September 1, 2025 through on/about November 23, 2025New York State Certification as School Social Worker Required.SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:Assist students with coping with personal and psychological issues that affect their school performance, behavior and socialization. Facilitate one-on-one, classroom or school-wide sessions addressing issues relevant to the student population.Assist students and their families with outside support services or agencies.Maintain case files and reports tracking student problems and progress.Participate with school/District student-based committees.Consult with parents, teachers, and other appropriate staff regarding the child’s program and any adaptations/materials needed to facilitate improved performance in the classroom or at home.
