Harborfields Central School District is seeking a Part-Time Lunch/Recess Paraprofessional at Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School. Hours: 9:40 AM – 2:10 PM, daily (school days) Position Summary: The Lunch/Recess Paraprofessional supervises students during lunch and recess periods, ensuring a safe, orderly, and positive environment. Responsibilities include monitoring student behavior, assisting with cafeteria procedures, supervising outdoor/indoor recess activities, and responding appropriately to student needs and minor incidents. Responsibilities: Supervise students during lunch periods in the cafeteria Supervise students during recess (indoor and outdoor) Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules Assist students with basic needs (opening containers, seating, etc.) Report incidents or concerns to appropriate school personnel Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with children preferred Ability to supervise groups of students effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must meet New York State Education Department fingerprint clearance requirements To Apply: Interested candidates should apply through OLAS (Online Application System) with a cover letter and resume.
