The Harborfields Central School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered, and collaborative Special Education Teacher for an anticipated probationary vacancy at Washington Drive Primary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of early childhood development, special education practices, differentiated instruction, IEP implementation, and inclusive supports for young learners. The candidate should be able to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, related service providers, families, and building administrators to support the academic, social, emotional, and developmental needs of students. Qualifications: Appropriate New York State Special Education certification required Experience working with elementary students preferred Strong knowledge of IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and administrators Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills Commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
