Harborfields Central School District is seeking a caring, patient, and dependable Paraprofessional to support students at Washington Drive Primary School, our K–2 primary building. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, related service providers, and building staff to support student learning, independence, safety, and social-emotional growth in a nurturing elementary school environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supporting students during classroom instruction, small-group work, and independent activities Assisting students with academic, behavioral, social, and/or daily living needs Reinforcing teacher-directed lessons and classroom routines Supporting students during transitions, arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and specials Helping maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment Implementing student-specific supports under the direction of certified staff Communicating professionally and respectfully with teachers, staff, and administrators Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with children preferred Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school-based team Strong communication, patience, flexibility, and professionalism Commitment to supporting young learners in a caring and respectful manner Fingerprint clearance required Washington Drive Primary School is a warm and student-centered learning community dedicated to helping our youngest learners grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
