Washington Drive Primary School is seeking a reliable, student-focused Lunch/Recess Paraprofessionals to support a safe, orderly, and positive school environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations, foster strong relationships with students, and promote a climate of respect throughout the building. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Monitoring hallways, common areas, entrances, and outdoor spaces to ensure student safety and compliance with school expectations • Assisting with student supervision during transitions, lunch periods, assemblies, and arrival/dismissal • Building positive connections with students and encouraging responsible behavior • Assisting administrators and security personnel with school safety protocols • Supporting instructional or clerical tasks as assigned by building administration • Reporting concerns, unusual activity, or incidents promptly and accurately • Serving as a visible and approachable presence for students and staff throughout the school day Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Prior experience working with adolescents preferred • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to remain calm, professional, and proactive in fast-paced situations • Dependability, discretion, and a commitment to student well-being • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team Interested candidates should apply on OLAS and submit: • Letter of interest (addressed to Milton Josephs, Executive Director of Human Resources) • Resume Location: Washington Drive Primary School Hours: 9:40 AM - 2:10 PM Diverse and bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
