The Harborfields Central School District is seeking reliable, motivated, and safety-focused individuals to serve as Substitute School Security Guards. Our security team plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and welcoming school environment for students, staff, and visitors.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Monitoring school grounds, buildings, and entrances to ensure the safety and security of all students, staff, and visitors.Enforcing school policies and procedures regarding safety and security.Responding to emergencies, disturbances, or incidents as directed.Assisting with visitor management and building access control.Collaborating with school administrators, staff, and law enforcement when necessary.Completing security reports and maintaining accurate documentation.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.Valid NYS Security Guard License required.Prior security, law enforcement experience preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to remain calm and exercise good judgment in emergency situations.Commitment to fostering a safe and supportive school environment.Compensation & Schedule:Competitive hourly rate.Substitute positions available.School-year schedule with potential for summer assignments.Application Procedure: Interested candidates should submit an application via OLAS, including a resume and three professional references.
