ANTICIPATED ADMINISTRATIVE VACANCY July 1, 2023 INTERIM DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY & SECURITY SYSTEMSThe successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills and possess a strong knowledge of technology systems and the integration of technology into the classroom. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:Plan, implement, and evaluate staff development programs to ensure proper and effective application of technology in support of educational initiatives throughout all schools.Supervision of network engineer and computer technicians in the maintenance of network systems and data security systems.Responsible for the implementation and coordination of the District’s Technology Plan.Prepare and manage the annual budget for computer hardware, software, staff training, supplies, hardware maintenance and staffing.Serve as the District’s Data Protection Officer and ensure compliance with NYS Education Law §2-d.Manage and maintain the District’s Student Information System.Coordinate with the Director of Facilities and Building Principals to implement and manage all technology related to building security.Qualifications:Knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems and telecommunications systems.Project management experience.Broad knowledge of current educational trends in curriculum and instruction as it relates to instructional technology.NYS Certification as a School District Leader/School District Administrator required.Prior administrative experience or exemplary classroom experience preferred.
