Olmsted Elementary School to guide a welcoming and purposeful learning community. DESCRIPTION: Elementary teaching or administrative experience is preferred but not required A strong instructional/curriculum background, including literacy, is desired The principal is charged with overseeing the day-to-day operations of W.A.O. as well as articulating a clear and compelling vision of success for all learners with the leadership team. This charge includes, but is not limited to:understanding, empathizing, and connecting with elementary school studentsfostering community along with academic excellenceseeing challenges as opportunities for growthbeing an instructional leader who is student-centered and provides students with voice and leadership opportunitiesdemonstrating awareness of school and community to initiate activities to engage and grow students, staff, and community relationships.collaborating for the purpose of ensuring high levels of student achievementactively supervising the certified and classified staff, providing ongoing feedback designed to improve employee performance and, ultimately, outcomes for studentsfocusing on capacity building, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement ensuring a supportive and restorative environment that promotes a climate for productive learningensuring ongoing analysis of multiple data sources to ensure equitable outcomes for all studentseffectively communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.reporting to the assistant superintendent and superintendent.
