English Language Arts TeacherJob Description:The Harpursville Central School District announces an anticipated vacancy for an English Language Arts Teacher at our Jr/Sr high school.We are looking for a dynamic person that is interested in inspiring and educating our middle school students. The ideal candidate will appreciate middle school students and all their characteristics, while creating engaging opportunities and differentiating lessons to meet all students’ needs. A strong understanding or background in literacy instruction that focuses on small group instruction and ongoing formative assessment is a plus. Our school uses a PLC (Professional Learning Community) model. Teachers work collaboratively to meet kids where they are at and accelerate their learning. We are seeking someone that puts students first, believes in all students, and wishes to become a member of our invested school family.Harpursville is a rural school district located 15 miles northeast of Binghamton on Route 88. Both elementary and Jr/Sr high buildings are on the same campus. There are approximately 575 students in the district.
