The Board of Education of the Hoosic Valley Central School District is seeking a qualified individual to fill a vacancy for one full-time, 12-month position of Cleaner. /Tuesday - Saturday*Tuesday – Friday, 2nd shift 2:30 – 10:30 pm and Saturdays 8:00 – 4:00Duties include:Dusts, cleans and polishes chairs, tables, desks and other furniture;Sweeps and washes floors, walls and hallwaysCleans and washes bathroom floors, sinks, walls, toilets and mirrors;Vacuums and washes carpets;Washes drapes and curtains and cleans Venetian blinds;Maintains bathrooms by filling towel, tissue and soap dispensers;Empties waste paper baskets;Gathers and disposes of refuse;May perform a variety of routine errands;May arrange chairs, tables and other equipment for special events;Performance of related work, as required. Qualifications:Knowledge of building cleaning methods, materials and equipment;Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;Willingness to perform cleaning and other manual tasks;Ability to read and write; thoroughness; cleanliness;Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
